The Washington Companies' new look
February 10, 2009
You may have noticed a change in our logo. We are of course the same stable organization with the same respected leadership. We felt now was a great time to refresh our visual identity as a clear signal of energy and optimism and of our renewed commitment to supporting industry with resources in service and technology.
Our new symbol, similar to its predecessor, represents a dynamic group of privately held businesses. The stylized initial W stands for the Washington brand promise and our founder’s philosophy of business. It incorporates a mascot figure, a lion’s head, a traditional heraldic symbol denoting courage, strength and leadership. A red disk symbolizes unity and focus.
This trademark will begin appearing on our equipment and in media through 2009 and on. It’s not a big change, much remains familiar. But we are also poised and looking forward, actively seeking every way we can improve to make your business more successful, and striving ever harder to merit your trust.
